Global health & beauty company GRACE Inc. (CEO Abraham Cho) is accelerating its expansion in the Japanese market by strengthening its distribution network across major drugstore channels.
In Japan, GRACE is building channel-optimized distribution strategies centered around drugstores and variety stores — key retail touchpoints with high consumer traffic. In particular, the company is expanding brand presence within the drugstore sector, widely recognized as one of the core channels for beauty consumption in Japan, while strengthening everyday consumer accessibility.
Japan’s drugstore market continues to show strong growth and has become a leading channel for cosmetics and health & beauty product purchases. Within this market structure, GRACE is actively expanding distribution through major nationwide retailers including Matsumoto Kiyoshi (MCC Group), Welcia, Tsuruha, Satsudora, Create SD, and Sugi Pharmacy.
Through these partnerships, GRACE has secured retail coverage across approximately 20,000 stores, while also establishing a multi-layered distribution structure that includes variety store channels such as Don Quijote.
Based on brand selection and merchandising strategies tailored to each channel’s target consumer profile and purchasing behavior, GRACE is creating a retail structure designed not only for placement but also for actual sales performance. Through its integrated “brand builder” strategy — encompassing merchandising, promotions, and content planning — the company is driving both brand awareness and purchase conversion simultaneously.
In addition, GRACE continues to strengthen its localized brand execution capabilities by connecting pop-up stores, influencer marketing, and retail expansion into one integrated operational structure, creating multiple successful brand launch cases within the Japanese market.
A GRACE representative stated,
“As the Japanese market is heavily centered around drugstore-driven consumption, strategic access to key channels is critical. We will continue expanding collaboration with major drugstore and retail partners to further strengthen consumer touchpoints.”
Meanwhile, GRACE continues to reinforce its position as both a brand builder and a global beauty distribution platform, integrating distribution, marketing, and retail strategies across key global markets, including Japan.
